Kitchen Facelift

HGTV is seriously a favorite of mine. Especially: Rehab Addict. Everything that Nicole Curtis touches, turns to GOLD. She makes "drenched-in-sweat-while-holding-a-hammer" look so rad.

So of course I took on a project that was totally out of my league.

Yes, there were tears. Hand cramps. Sweat. Frustration.
But I now have a gorgeous kitchen!

A kitchen that puts a huge smile on my face while eating a bowl of Cheerios.

A kitchen that encourages cooking... (that's huge for me).

A kitchen that gives the best happy-dance-in-your-socks vibes.

A kitchen for the two of us.

Bon Appétit.

A Visit from Kenz

I've been looking forward to this day for a while! I mean, talking to Kenzie on the phone is fun and all, but having her here in person is a real hoot! For those of you who don't know Kenzie, she is one of a kind! She often tells me her definition of herself: "Sass with CLASS". And I don't doubt it one bit.

I was sooo lucky to have Kenz here to assist in tackling all my kitchen renovations. She was such a good sport to help out and of course I had to treat her to dinner. FIVE GUYS anyone??

The next day we hit up EEGEE'S which is like the Bahama Bucks of Tucson. We caught up on the latest and greatest and about laughed til our sides were sore. I can always count on a good laugh with this girl.

The best was when Jerret got home from work. We'd all play Sequence for hours! Nothing better than seeing "headstrong" Kenz vs. "competitive" J. A dual to the death!

Our last hoorah consisted of Biscoff Waffles, bike rides, So You Think You Can Dance, and a trip to the movies! We basically balled our eyes out in "The Fault in Our Stars". #tearjerker

Every moment spent with Kenz is one for the books... err... blog.

Tucson Livin'

About 2 months ago Jerret and I took a big step and moved to Tucson for his work! He got a job transfer to the Target.com facility.

I'll admit... I was kinda bitter about leaving. But what do you expect from someone stuck in the Mesa Bubble?!

I've come to realize that being away from family is hard, but Jerret and I have taken this experience and made the best out of it!
